Making room for wonder in ordinary life

Through essays, photographs, and reflections, I explore nature, spirituality, history, travel, and what it means to be human.

This is a place for the curious—for anyone longing to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and find beauty in the everyday. I write about the things that make us feel more alive and more at home in ourselves.

Field Notes

A little more wonder is on the way!

Field Notes is a collection of thoughts gathered along trails, in old books, during conversations, and through everyday moments worth paying attention to. These essays invite you to look a little closer and discover the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary.

I'm gathering my first Field Notes and will be sharing them here soon. In the meantime, join my email list (by scrolling to the bottom of this page), and I’ll let you know when I publish my first piece.

Hello, I’m Tani

I'm a writer, photographer, yoga guide, and lifelong student of the natural world.

I create out of curiosity. You'll usually find me wandering forest trails, reading history books, studying plants, practicing yoga, or chasing questions that don't have easy answers. I'm endlessly fascinated by the ways nature, history, spirituality, and everyday life shape who we become.

Everything I create—from essays and photographs to botanical products and yoga offerings—is an invitation to slow down, cultivate wonder, and reconnect with ourselves, one ordinary moment at a time.
